The Achensee ski area in Tyrol consists of several small, friendly ski areas such as Christlum (with 27 km of slopes), Zwölferkopf (12 km), and Rofan (11 km), ideal for families and beginners, supplemented by 200 km of cross-country ski trails and 150 km of winter hiking trails. The free ski bus connects the villages and ski areas around the lake, which is characterized by a relaxed atmosphere without much après-ski.
