Sölden - Ötztal Arena
About Sölden - Ötztal Arena
Sölden is a famous Austrian ski area known for its reliable snow, high-altitude glaciers, and access to three peaks over 3,000 meters (the "Big 3"). With 144 km of pistes and two glaciers, Rettenbach and Tiefenbach, it caters to all skill levels, offering everything from gentle slopes for beginners to challenging off-piste runs. The resort also features extensive apres-ski options, the 007 ELEMENTS James Bond Exhibition, and hosts top events like the Alpine Ski World Cup.

Sölden is one of Lucas's reliable favourites — and for good reason. Two glaciers mean the season starts early and the snow holds late. The terrain suits skiers who want variety: challenging runs in the morning, long cruising descents when the legs get tired.
The mountain huts are serious. The Apfelstrudel at altitude is not something Lucas takes lightly.
His one honest note: avoid February if crowds bother you. January or early March is when Sölden is at its best.
Austria doing what Austria does best.
